Of course we need to have a blog to go with our new website! This is so you can get the latest updates on what is going on with our shop. I know we have only been open for a few months and have changed so much in the time but we hope to always be inspired and keeping it interesting for you! However NO MORE NAME CHANGES! ha ha. We hope you just keep following us along as we continue on our little journey...

Our sign is up for our new name for our shop!!!!

Yes, we know we are only 4 months old but we had to change our store name! Our former name (The Alley) had some issues being referred to another shop...and we took more time into what we really wanted for our shop to represent and the name Homeology just seemed like the perfect fit! Even in the 4 months we have been open, we have changed our shop a lot even bringing in more furniture. We hope to keep growing and always changing...we get bored easily!

Inspiration

We love home decor magazines and of course buy a ton of them! It is so great to see a picture and get inspired, sometimes just even off a color. We all need ideas from somewhere and magazines are one of the easiest ways to accomplish this! I love the idea of a seating area where you can flip through magazines...so with my shop of course I have one! So come on in with your Starbucks and get inspired!

Changes in our store!

If you have stopped by in the last month or so you will notice that we have been changing things up in our store! We have some great new furniture pieces and will continue to bring in unique, affordable pieces in as time goes by. We are also getting ready to change the name of our store. This has to happen because our name The Alley is associated too much with another store and we need to be our unique selves! Our new name will be Home.o.logy . We will definitely keep you updated, soon!

Accent chairs!!!

These 2 side chairs are super stylish and for half the price! You can buy them off the floor or custom order! The Leather chair is also available in black and red.

Framed letters

These letter are really unique because you can juxtapose them to however you want! Great for putting over a bed or a family wall with pictures!

Fall is here!!!

We love fall! The holidays are just around the corner and we do enjoy to change things up here! With fall we feel just a couple little accents here and there for decor are just right. Baskets are everywhere right now and it is so easy to just fill them up with some artichokes or decorative balls, or even a fall flower. Our famous Pumpkin Spice candles are here... they are the best scent for the season!

Owls are so in

Yes it is true and I saw them everywhere at the shows! I have seen them in the fashion world too. I even have a necklace coming to the shop! I love quirky animals, so of course I would pick up on this trend myself. These book ends are super cool, they make a statement all on their own. I got these cute mugs in as well, we always love the sassy sayings!

Sassy bangles

These bangles are super cute stacked, and we love the sayings on them! Right now I am all about mixing and matching a bunch of bracelets...great way to make your jewelry you have already seem new!

McCalls Candles are HERE!!!!

Yes finally!!!! These candles are so yummy! They are very strong we promise... but they may make you hungry ha ha! Some of the scents are: Hot buttered rum, Ginger peach, and Haley's butter cream frosting...they never last long so hurry in.

A new piece!

This Love Seat is so cool!  We feel this can get mixed in with many styles.  The pillows you can have fun with and always change out the color...a great last minute decorating fix.  Our frames keep coming in as well, keep checking back ladies!

Our first class!

For all you Tuscany lovers

We have some of our famous frames finally make it in our store! They go quickly! We still have some 8x10's coming in I hope soon. We got some great flowers in, they are nice to break up all the wrought iron and bring in some color.

Stuff keeps coming!

At our store we do not have one particular style, we love to mix!  Just got in these great baby blankets in bright colors, then we saw this cool coral piece that we think is great on its own, or a cool way to hold your jewelry!  We love unique hooks as well and really got excited when we found the ones that are shown above.

Bracelets!

We really loved the inspirational words on some of these bracelets.  My (Renee') favorite one says: "Never settle for less".  We love the bigger bracelets... we think they make our wrists look smaller!  

Back by popular demand...Sea grass chairs!

When we owned our former store, we sold these great chairs that went well with so many different looks so yes we had to carry them here at The Alley! Also we found a great idea for a last minute wedding gift! The glasses are so cute and we love the extra touch of the flowers...no need to wrap!

Tins are back in!

We just got in more of our cute tins that we sold out of!  We also found a taller version of the crown bottles.

A couple cool pieces

We like interesting boxes, they can just be for looks or can be used in a unique way as well! This cool tin box can even hold remotes on your ottoman, or towels in a guest bath? The vintage flower candle holder makes a great statement on a table as well.

Eclectic

We just got in one of my favorite orders! There is still more on its way but I had to take some pictures of a couple of my favorite finds. I know a lot of us like the black and white decor but it is fun to mix in a bright color...that is what I was thinking when I ordered these clocks. The old school tic tac toe is a great gift for the summer! Last but not least the Thumbs up hand...so fun to just put on a shelf, I am keeping one for myself!

Great new mugs

We really liked these inspirational mugs! We picked up a tea line as well that will go great with these mugs so will keep you posted! Also we are big fans of great quotes or sayings so you see a lot of these little signs in our shop. They are great for filling in a wall in small spaces.

New jewelry

A couple new pieces came in! More rings too (not pictured).

Bridal gifts

We just got in one of our bridal orders! The packaging is just too much fun and my personal favorite is the newlywed luggage tags...practical and cute! We know weddings are expensive so we tried to find a few things that would make a personal touch for a lot less money! Shown above: bride tote, bride t-shirts, organizer, bridesmaid compact, bride wine glass, and newlywed luggage tags.

I gotta say when I walked up to this booth I saw this great packaging and was so surprised when I found out what it was! It seems so taboo but I was SOLD! It makes a great gift and would be for sure quite the conversation starter!

Changes at The Alley...

We have almost been open 2 months but we just keep finely tuning our store! We never want our customers to get bored when they walk in so yes you must stop in often to see what we have going on! You will start to see more gift items as we are finding that 1: it is just too much fun and 2: well needed as so many of our little stores are closing! We still are going to carry home decor and some great unique furniture pieces and of course adding more jewelry. Us sisters (Jamie ,Andrea and Renee') just get sick of always going to the mall to find a gift so we are creating a place for you that is yes of the beaten path...but worth the little detour!
